About

// who

I'm Evan Waldmann — an applied mathematician turned software engineer, currently based in Orlando, FL.

I work at Microsoft — started on Azure Compute building the fabric controller and VM lifecycle systems (AzSM), now on Service Fabric Managed Clusters (SFMC). Working on infrastructure at a scale where a small bug can become a massive incident — which keeps things interesting.

Before Microsoft, I was a consultant at Deloitte, and before that I was doing research in ecological modeling at Harvard Forest and math at UCF.
